About Me
Why Naked & Unashamed?

It was at the end of a weekend event; I was in the middle of explaining that everything we’d lost in the
Garden of Eden had been restored spiritually in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This was
absolutely revolutionary to my faith, to my own surprise I recognized as the first couple discovered
their nakedness and shame, we, in Christ have the incredible freedom and gift to stand “Naked &
Unashamed” before God. What a freeing and stunning revelation to begin to grasp that we are
pursued passionately by the Creator of the Universe… Who knows everything about us…and loves
us with a love beyond our understanding.

Listen, I am not selling anything, asking anyone to join a group or "ministry" or even trying to a build a
following. I just know that there are people everywhere; who feel hopeless, consumed with anger or
simply that there stands something in their life that is just unforgivable. “I know God could never let
this one go” one woman said to me, with a chuckle, as if she were joking. She wasn’t joking, though
– and I know that feeling! Whenever things in my own past came up, not only did I believe He “couldn’
t let it go” but – when asked anything about faith – my answer was the same – “I’m probably going to
hell.”

How can we
not have those thoughts when God has been presented as an angry, disappointed, and
difficult to please judge, who with a raging vengeance, arrogantly metes out punishment and gets
some sort of twisted pleasure from our pain?

It’s not true! Actually, it couldn’t be farther from the truth! You need to know that it’s safe to come out of
hiding! You have One Who has gone to radical lengths and unfathomable measures for you to even
begin to comprehend an un-comprehendible love that is nothing, nothing, nothing… like the love you
have humanly experienced. The Good News is greater than anything you could imagine. Maybe you’
ve heard it too many times; but listen! This time with your heart; “For God SO LOVED THE WORLD
that He gave His Only SON that whoever believes will have LIFE – Life eternal. That’s not simply
“accept Jesus and you’ll go to heaven” which is true, but there is so much more.

Come to Me, says Jesus, you who are weary, burdened, bogged down, and overwhelmed with life,
facing a mountain of debt, …I’ll give you rest. Did you hear that? Rest! Peace in our head! Not a list of
principles and rules…not even some moral code, Christian rights or family values! Life on this earth
is hard, but through Jesus Christ, something extraordinary has happened!  He didn’t come to simply
encourage us to “play nice” He came so that we might have and enjoy life! Without shame! Without
guilt! (John 10:10) Right here, right now, you are loved! You are forgiven! You are included! You stand
accepted! Not because of what you did or didn’t do…but, because of what He DID! *For God did not
send the Son into the world in order to judge the world, but
that the world might find salvation and be
made safe and sound through Him.

Naked & Unashamed!
Personally Speaking
"Nice Things"

This is something I've run into over and
over; someone questioning the offer of
free and extravagant grace without
condition. It's just not fair! That's just it!
It's not fair. God's thoughts are not our
thoughts, His ways are not ours! How
does God offer any of us grace and love
without condition? Our redemption in
Jesus Christ is much more incredible
than we first thought. It's about Him and
what He did. Yet, we're not at all
comfortable with that...in fact most of
the time, we insist there is some part we
have to play other than trusting in Him.
“Those are nice things you’re saying,"
a
women added after I’d finished giving
a message. "But there
has to be some
behavior changes," she continued
adamantly. "
God does not just accept
anybody without a change in
behavior.”     (more)
